About the Campaign

Thank you for participating in the Pride of Africa campaign photoshoot.

This campaign celebrates the diversity, resilience, visibility and lived experiences of LGBTQIA+ communities across South Africa. During today's shoot, photographs and video footage may be captured for use by Pride of Africa NPC, Johannesburg Pride and their affiliated initiatives.

The content created during this campaign may be used across our websites, social media platforms, marketing materials, fundraising communications, reports, presentations, exhibitions, media publications and other promotional or educational materials, both now and in the future.

I confirm that I am 18 years of age or older.

I voluntarily agree to participate in this Pride of Africa campaign photoshoot.

I grant Pride of Africa NPC and Johannesburg Pride permission to photograph, film and record my image, voice and likeness.

I understand that the photographs and video footage may be edited for quality, formatting and creative presentation while remaining true to the purpose and values of the campaign.

I understand that these images and recordings may be used across digital, print, social media, websites, reports, presentations, exhibitions, fundraising, advocacy and promotional materials.

I understand that this permission is granted on a perpetual basis and that there is no predetermined expiry date for the use of the images or recordings.

I understand that I will not receive financial compensation for participating in this campaign or for the future use of the images or recordings.

Our Commitment to You

At Pride of Africa, we believe that trust is just as important as consent. We therefore make the following commitments to every participant.

- Pride of Africa will never knowingly use my images or recordings in a derogatory, discriminatory, defamatory, or misleading manner.

- Pride of Africa will ensure that the use of my images always aligns with the organisation's values of dignity, inclusion, respect, and equality.

- Pride of Africa will not use my images or recordings to create AI-generated or AI-manipulated content.

- Pride of Africa will never sell my photographs or recordings, nor use them for commercial resale or profit. My images will only be used to promote the work, initiatives, campaigns, advocacy, and fundraising activities of Pride of Africa and Johannesburg Pride.

- If you become uncomfortable with a particular use of my image in the future, you may contact Pride of Africa to request its removal where reasonably possible. You understand that content already published, printed, broadcast, or shared with third parties may not always be capable of being removed.

Use of Images by Participants

To protect the integrity of the campaign and the intellectual property created during this project, I understand and agree that:

The photographs, videos and campaign creative produced during this shoot remain the intellectual property of Pride of Africa unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Any photographs or videos shared with me by Pride of Africa are provided for my personal use only.

I may share the original photographs or videos on my personal social media platforms, provided they remain unaltered and appropriate credit is given to Pride of Africa where reasonably possible.

I may not alter, edit, manipulate or create AI-generated, AI-enhanced or AI-modified versions of the campaign images or videos.

I may not use the campaign images or videos to advertise, endorse, promote or market another organisation, business, political party, brand, product or service.

I may not use the campaign images or videos in sponsorships, collaborations, fundraising activities, cross-marketing campaigns or any commercial activity without the prior written permission of Pride of Africa.

I may not sell, license, distribute or otherwise monetise the campaign images or videos.
